Plaza Adelante Grand Opening and Street Fair

Time: 11:30am – 4: 00pm

The Grand Opening of Plaza Adelante at the southeast corner of Mission & 19th Street, headquarters for Mission Economic Development (MEDA), Good Samaritan and other community-serving nonprofit groups. Baoabab Village is pleased to participate and welcome its new neighbor across the street.

Little Baobab restaurant will be open during the festival street closure beginning at 12 noon. There will also be a special Happy Hour at the Baobab Village Cafe next door as the festival winds down at 4pm. We’ll keep the party going well into the evening.

Here’s the official schedule

11:30 – 12:15 Press Conference and ribbon cutting with Mayor Newsome, Supervisors Campos and Daly, State Senator Leno, Assemblymember Ammiano.

12:15 – 4:00 Community Festival & Resource Fair will begin at the closing of the press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony. This will feature live entertainment, food, kid’s games and services from community-based nonprofits.

1:00 – 2:00 Mariachi

2:00 – 3:00 Bayonics

3:00 – 4:00 DJ – Just confirmed. It’s WALT DIGZ!
